Need to get rid of that leftover BBQ pulled pork? Use it to create this delicious BBQ pork pizza, made with pulled pork, BBQ sauce, shredded cheese and red onion.

My husband smoked a Boston butt/pork shoulder, and I pondered what to do with the leftovers. Then, it came to me. A BBQ pizza will be perfect! And the ending result was, so let me explain to you what I did.
Ingredients for BBQ Pork Pizza
- Leftover pulled pork
- Pizza dough – you can use homemade or store-bought pizza dough for this recipe. If you are in a rush, then store-bought will work just fine. I made my dough from scratch using Laura’s Easy Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe. I’ve been using it for about 5 years now, and it is great.
- BBQ sauce – I prepared my own BBQ sauce. The recipe is below. But, like the pizza dough, if you are in a rush, a store-bought bottled sauce can be used as well. If using store-bought, go for a thick sweet flavored sauce like Sweet Baby Ray’s Original.
- Mozzarella cheese –
- Colby Jack cheese
- Sliced red onion – In all honesty, I can eat this pizza without red onion. The red onion adds that extra kick and flavor.
- Fresh parlsey – Simply to add a little color pop.
Simple Steps
- Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Pizza cooks quickly at high heat.

- Prepare BBQ sauce if making from scratch
- Mix shredded pork and 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce in a small bowl.
- Line baking sheet, or 12 inch pizza pan with parchment paper.

- Roll out dough on a surface into a 12 inch diameter circle, then transfer to lined pizza pan or parchment paper.

- Layer BBQ sauce evenly over dough, leaving about an 1/4 – 1/2 border

- Top with cheeses

- Top with shredded pork

- Top with red onion and parsley
- Bake in preheated oven for 12 – 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately.
